A Bradfield education is a privilege that carries with it the opportunity to use talents for the good of others, both at school and in later life. As well as fulfilling their own potential, we want our pupils to develop the capacity to look beyond themselves and embrace global citizenship.
Now more than ever we need to address the educational, environmental, economic, cultural and societal needs of our times by offering an inclusive environment where diversity is celebrated. Bradfield seeks to offer a ‘regenerative’ education through which our pupils are encouraged to be a force for good and develop the understanding that enables them to have a positive impact on their planet and its people.
In addition to serving in the Combined Cadet Force and undertaking Duke of Edinburgh Awards, pupils contribute to many outreach activities, including work with local charities, schools, and youngsters. Trips further afield enable engagement with projects in communities and countries that challenge the pupils and broaden their understanding of the world.
All pupils are encouraged to take positive action towards greater awareness, understanding and inquiry within a local context. We ask our pupils to be the change they want to see, to raise awareness and to raise money, and to turn activism into action in the knowledge that to be a global citizen, you need to be a local one first.
