Who we are
The Bradfield Society supports all members of the wider Bradfield community. This includes past and present pupils, past and present parents, past and present staff members, as well as members of the public who have chosen to join the Society as “Friends of Bradfield”, or who have financially supported the College. We provide services such as running reunions, assisting with networking for former pupils, supporting alumni clubs, and organising events for the Bradfield community.
The Development Office is an extension of the Bradfield Society and is focused on Fundraising. The channel through which the funds are raised is called The Bradfield Foundation, Registered Charity No. 900457.

Privacy Notices
The Bradfield Society and Development Office are part of Bradfield College and is run by employees of Bradfield College. Bradfield College is the “Data Controller” for all the data held and used by the Society and Development Office.

Alumni of the College (Old Bradfieldians)
For alumni we hold the following data, which has been provided by you or taken from publicly available sources (eg. Newspapers, online media):
• Name
• Date of Birth
• Gender
• Contact Details
• Marital status
• Communications preferences/consents
• Attendance data (Boarding House, Date of Entry)
• Valete data (such as sports teams and societies that the pupil participated in or prizes received while at the College)
• Relationship information, i.e. familial connections to other individuals we hold data on e.g. siblings at school, family that are alumni or staff etc.
• Employment information/history
• Media articles concerning Old Bradfieldians
• Records of communications and correspondence between the us and the member
• Information regarding membership of Bradfield Society clubs and committees
• Recreational or charitable interests
• Attendance of Bradfield Society or Bradfield Foundation events
We process this data for the following purposes:
• Keeping a historical record of our alumni and former staff
• Sending communications regarding events and news to our members
• For administrative purposes, for example processing a donation or event registration
• To ask for your help in fundraising and supporting the College
• For statutory and regulatory compliance
• To assist with maintaining communications between members of the Society, with their consent
• In order to conduct due diligence before taking any donations
In order to assist with our fundraising and philanthropic purposes, we may research our alumni using publicly available information such as the media, Companies House or Social Media such as LinkedIn. We will use third parties to undertake this research on our behalf.
Our legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in:
• Communicating with alumni of Bradfield College.
• Supporting the development and maintenance of the College by fundraising.
We retain this data for the Old Bradfieldian’s lifetime.
Former Staff Members and Friends of Bradfield
For Former Staff, and Friends where appropriate, we hold the following data:
• Name
• Contact Details
• Marital status
• Communications preferences/consents
• Dates and Titles of Employment at Bradfield.
• Records of communications and correspondence between the member and us.
• Information regarding membership of Bradfield Society clubs and committees
• Recreational or charitable interests
• Attendance of Bradfield Society or Bradfield Foundation events
We process this data for the following purposes:
• Keeping a historical record of our former staff
• Sending communications regarding events and news to our members
• For administrative purposes, for example processing a donation or event registration
• To ask for your help in fundraising and supporting the College
• For statutory and regulatory compliance
• To assist with maintaining communications between members of the Society should they wish
• In order to conduct due diligence before taking any donations

We retain this data for the Former Staff Member’s lifetime.
Donors
For donors we hold the following data:

• Donation history, payment information and giving preferences
• Relationship information, i.e. familial connections to other individuals we hold data on e.g. siblings at school, family that are alumni or staff etc.
• Records of communications and correspondence between the us and the member
• Recreational or charitable interests
• Attendance of Bradfield Society or Bradfield Foundation events

The Bradfield Foundation
The Bradfield Foundation is a separate charity (Registered Charity No. 900457.) from the College, which collects donations that go to College projects and fundraising efforts. As the Foundation manages its own bank account, it acts as the data controller for the following information regarding donors.

Bradfield Society Community Website Users
You may choose to join our Online Community by registering on the Bradfield Society (www.bradfieldsociety.org.uk) website and creating an online profile. For those subjects the following addendums to our privacy statement apply:
