This season has seen remarkable progress and success across all age groups for our netball teams, with 22 teams regularly competing in fixtures. For the first time ever, we consistently fielded a 6th team at senior level, further reflecting the continuous rise in participation and progress. This was evident in our block against Wellington, where the current 6th formers, when in Year 9 and Year 10, lost 9 out of 10 games. However, as a 6th form group, they won all 5 senior fixtures. The 1st team had an outstanding performance in the 1st VII Invitational Tournament, with their only loss to the eventual winners, Brighton College (7-9), taking wins over Wellington College, KEHS Southampton, Marlborough College, Canford and LPNC.

National Competition

The U14s, a newly formed squad, made it to the semi-finals, just missing out on a place at the regional finals. For a new team, this is a huge achievement, and we are excited to see them develop in the coming years. The U16s also had a fantastic tournament, with their GS representing the 1sts, it was a tough ask for them with some U15s stepping up gaining valuable experience. They came away with 3rd place—a significant achievement. The major highlight was the U19 squad, who delivered a standout performance, winning all but one game, finishing 2nd, and qualifying for the regional finals.

Cup Competitions

The 1stVII had the best cup run to date, reaching the semi-finals and narrowly losing by one goal in the dying seconds of the game. This was a fantastic achievement nonetheless, with victories over schools including Canford and Millfield. The U16A team matched the 1stVII’s success by reaching the semi-finals of their cup competition. This is also the furthest this team has ever gone, with wins including against Wycombe Abbey. The U14s, a new squad, had a successful cup run, reaching round 3 of the competition.
