Many congratulations to the Bradfield College Show Jumping team of Hope (K), Maddie (I), Issy (J) and Yasmin (I) who clinched third place in the Jung Inter Schools National Show Jumping Final at the Royal Windsor Horse Show on Saturday 13 May.

The format of the competition was a course of 12 jumps, jumped as a single phase with the last six jumps timed. Of the four girls jumping, the top three scores counted. The winning team was the team with the fewest penalties and the lowest time score.

They competed against 22 other schools in the nail-biting final, being the fourth team to compete. The first three teams competing had been eliminated without scoring so tensions were running high.  But all girls (and ponies) looked like true professionals in the arena, completing the course with only 8 faults between them.

Given that the competition really had been drawn from the length and breadth of the country, and that it culminated at the extremely prestigious Royal Windsor Horse Show, the achievement of third place was even more fantastic!  A huge congratulations to all the girls and a very big thank you to their trainer, Sharon.
